I'm not sure if you know this, but the computer DOES recognize the PS3 controller as a USB device, as far as I know. Also EZ2ON will not let anything other than your keyboard register on it for an easy but annoying fix against cheating.
If it turns out the PS3 controller isn't recognized by the PC, I guarantee you that a mod is already up and running.
