If you are a sight-reader, and know some knowledge of music theory through RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music). Then, you should know that certain notes being played within Guitar Freaks, are actual note representations of each individual scale. I honestly do not know how to actually play guitar, I had one, but I sold it because i suck at it royally

However, I do believe that if you take three sounded notes in a certain order on a guitar song, then compar those sounds on a staff-line OF a guitar sheet, then you will probably get the basic melodie.

I believe that is what you are asking, and I could be wrong about this, considering I am still a beginner at theory.
