Before I had a pop'n KOC I used a IIDX controller for pop'n. As I played one-handed then and scratching isn't good for key 1 and 2, I eventually used L1 and L2 of a small controller or keys 1 and 2.

I also used the pop'n KOC as 2P side in IIDX doubles, but that was pretty bad, as the distance between the centers of the keys is greater, even on a pop'n KOC.
