I did however develop a completely "faith in yourself" based method of playing.
I turned off the Judgment Display, and the one that shows up on the right side by the video.
Then i proceeded to tape construction paper over the life bar, max combo display and money score displays, then turned off the score chart cause i had it on earlier.
Now he doesnt even know how good/bad he is doing, what grade he's getting or if he's still full comboing it.

uhhh...no shit. it would be a lot easier to get better if you took the construction paper off the tv and turned all that stuff back on. hide judgments would definitely NOT help timing.
