The early part with hands, I figure, is slow enough to not be too bad, and the alternative is quarter-note jumps that wouldn't fit in with the rest of the chart. Given that I'm not the biggest fan of hands either, I can understand that criticism.
Xythar: if you're referring to the same part as hamm, yes, it is intentional. Watch how the mines flow and you'll see exactly how it's supposed to be played. The song is slow enough that I think I can get away with it.
