YEAH LET'S GO IN REVERSE
I PLAY THE EXPERT CHARTS UNLESS I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD PLAY SOME OTHERS OR UNLESS THEY DON'T COME WITH EXPERT CHARTS
actually i'm going to try something new. you'll start at the max score and lose points everytime i don't like your file.
stickshifts and safety belts:
steps: offsync, -1. you try to syncopate with the vocals but don't always succeed -.5. a lot of times when you're just jumping and it's not very fun jumping -1. i saw a good chunk of spins and i don't think they were intentional -.5. total 3/6
tilt: i don't like your song at all -1.5. your graphics are pretty poor -1. total 1.5/4
overall: 4.5/10
startin':
steps: these were pretty good steps overall, i can't really complain about the slightly mean mine placement in parts because charlene exists and it's also an 11. that one freeze jump to the hands is probably too difficult though considering how you'd be standing -.5. total 5.5/6
tilt: the song seems more appropriate for ddr than itg -.5 total 3.5/4
overall 9/10
speedy cat:
steps: your steps are way too hard for a 10 -1.5. while in some parts of the song you syncopate to the vocals or instruments (but fail often -.5), your steps for the most part don't go to anything at all. why are there jumps in the middle of the stream? who the hell knows, because they don't go to anything in the music and aren't evenly placed. -3.5. since you put some amount of effort other than banging your arm on the keyboard to make these steps, that leaves you with a 0.5/6
tilt: you know, i was kinda hoping that this file would just mirror the iidx version so i could say nice job but because it's been done for iidx i can't give the full points. instead i am presented with a background that probably has an erect leopard penis off screen to the right 0/4
overall: 0.5/10
satellite:
steps: i don't see how the jumps really apply to this part of the song -1. the short freezes were rather useless -1. the chart didn't feel like a 10 at all until you got to the end, and this part felt really poorly structured -1.5. i saw a good chunk of spins and don't think they were intentional -.5. total :2/6
tilt: this song isn't very fun to dance to at all -2. total: 2/4
overall 4/10
namida girl:
steps: unlike most of the reviewers here, i did not think the speedup section was warrented, especially since you throw in a 16th run at the end without speeding it up -1. the way this song was cut it felt like it was dragging on, there's definitely a lack of variety in the steps -1. total: 4/6
tilt: putting the effort for the video and lyrics were appreciated but i just don't think that j-pop belongs in the ITG division -.5. total 3.5/4
overall: 7.5/10
multiball:
steps: the step placement is boring at best and bordering on non feetable at worst, some transitions looked way too awkward to do at 300 bpm -2. the bpm doubling was not needed -1. in some cases the hands looked non-handable, it seemed that the real intention would have been to hit two freeze arrows with one foot, then rock the other foot to get the 8th notes -1. total 2/6
tilt: i don't really have a complaint about the graphics or song choice, it's fitting 4/4
overall 6/10
mario takes a walk:
steps: okay, the steps weren't just offsync, they were either a half beat or 1.5 beats offsync. had they been on sync, they would have been enjoyable 0/6
tilt: no artist in the banner -1, song seems more fit for keyboard than itg -.5 2.5/4
overall 2.5/10
kiss me:
steps - the only complaint i have is the jump step jump step jump step runs, but that's because i have a personal hatred for them -1, the steps are too karaoke aside from that and leave too many pauses in the action -1 4/6
tilt: from the video it was really obvious that this was from pump so i can't give you full tilt points -.5 3.5/4
overall 7.5/10
jump:
i am going to give you a perfect score even though you may or may not deserve it. it is because these expert steps basically encorporate the extra elements from itg without any of the pandering to the hardcore shit that itg ended up becoming. i have wanted a song like this for a long time
overall 10/10
inner universe:
steps - offsync -1. itg isn't quantized to 64ths, you're thinking of that other dancing game -1. these steps are extremely repetitive and boring but at least they don't insult me -3. total 1/6
tilt: this song is pretty bad but at least the graphics are okay -2 total 2/4
overall 3/10
identity:
steps - can't complain too much given that it was a 12. i thought that actually hitting steps during the fast part was rather mean, i'm pretty sure most people consider that part in robotix to be the worst part of the steps -1 5/6
tilt: song and graphics were kinda ish -1.5 total 2.5/4
overall 7.5/10
i wanna talk about me:
steps - seemed offsync -.5. steps didn't always sync with the vocals when the were supposed to -.5 a lot of double stepping and poor step placement in this song, moreso than most other songs -1.5 total 2.5/6
tilt: song choice -2, graphics were poor -1 total 1/4
overall 3.5/10
have you never been mellow:
steps - these were great but a little too mine heavy -1 5/6
tilt: i have a soft spot for old cheesy hardcore 4/4
overall 9/10
gradation:
steps were decent but were a little repetitive -1 5/6
tilt: bdad song -2 2/4
overall 7/10
endless journey:
steps - i couldn't really hear what the 24ths were going to, they seemed unecessary -1. step jumps bother me and this had lots of them -1 4/6
tilt: song is ish -1 3/4
overall 7/10
emerald sword:
steps - oh god finally a metal song that's at the right bpm. no real complaints about the steps 6/6
tilt: complete with cheesy metal video, but i don't think this merits a perfect score 3.5/4
overall 9.5/10
don't cha:
steps - hurghhh, these steps were repetitive (-1), often placed poorly (-1), and a lot of the time it seemed like you were at a loss as to how to make the song difficult so you just threw in some 16th runs (-3) 1/6
tilt: impressively poor graphics .5/10
overall 1.5/10
devestation:
steps - THAT'S NO 10 THAT'S A KEYBOARD STATION 1/6
tilt - that's pretty much my only complaint with this song, the steps are more suited for keyboard usage, and a lot of the runs are uninspired and more fitting for key smash than foot smash. it's not a bad entry, it's just in the wrong category. 3/4
overall 4/10
days dreamer:
steps - the song isn't a 10 at all except for that one section where you're supposed to be holding down a freeze which is simply poor design -1. the song is absolutely full of freezes that are unecessary, make no sense, or both -1.5. the 24ths near the beginning didn't always seem to fit anything -1. oh and they're boring -1 total 1.5/6
tilt - just because the song is tangentially related to iidx or konami or whatever does not mean it is a good song. in fact, it's a horrible song 2/4
overall 3.5/10
cheap trick kind of girl:
steps - these were good except for the middle part which threw the difficulty way out of whack 4.5/6
tilt - it's all good 4/4
overall 8.5/10
breathe:
steps - i would say the mine 24th portions are too hard for this to be a 9 -.5. in addition it seems that you switched what you were following, from the bassline, to the vocals, to the melody, to background noises, way way too often and quickly, which made a lot of the steps confusing -2 total 3.5/6
tilt - no complaints here 4/4
overall 7.5/10
be princess:
steps - not bad, i felt that that the long 16th run was excessive at this speed though -1 5/6
tilt - i have no idea if your use of two different characters was inconsistent since i have no idea what show he sampled for this 4/4
overall 9/10
bad boy:
steps - the 32nds are pretty absurd -1. it seems that there was lots of double stepping and spinning in this steps which is not good -1.5 3.5/6
tilt - graphics somewhat lame -.5 3.5/4
overall 7/10
asteroid:
steps - lots of unecessary freezes -1. you actually had a lot to work with in this song but you went for straight runs -2. the 24ths didn't make sense where you put them, there are parts in the song where they do make sense but randomly at the end of a measure isn't one of them -1. putting mines after the long pause was kinda dumb because there was that huge 16th run right after the mines -1 1/4
tilt - nothing wrong here 4/4
overall 5/10
a voice spoke to me:
steps - yes i suppose it's a 13 but it wasn't fun or innovative like grip -1 i think there was a good deal of awkwardness with these steps but that could have been all part of the 13 intention -1. 4/6
tilt - song is good, graphics didn't seem fitting to the song 3.5/4
overall 7.5/10
a new ray of light:
steps - there was quite a bit of doublestepping but it didn't happen during the 16ths -1 5/6
tilt - one of these days someone will make a remix of a sonic song that actually sounds like a remix of a sonic song and the sonic remixing community will laugh at and ostracize them because there is a conspiracy between all the sonic remixers to make their sonic remixes as unsonic like as possible i hope you enjoyed this tangent it has been something that's bothered me since the first time i went to ocremix and listened to a remix of the scrap brain zone only it didn't sound like the scrap brain zone at all it sounded like some crappy house song that was accidentally labeled as a scrap brain zone remix so i never went to ocremix again and secretly hate anyone who claims to enjoy the music at ocremix -1 3/4
overall 8/10
