Genres are scientific. Certain genres have more limits than others. You need to judge within the genre. Instead of saying "eurobeat is generic and thus should receive a penalty," you should say "is this generic FOR EUROBEAT," which you did not.
But that's niether here nor there; the idea that song choice is an acceptable judging mechanic is prevailent in the community, I'm going to get bashed and smashed, and let's face it Zounder, you've already won.
