i am going to rage about SN2 right now (rage get it)

I'm getting really tired of arguing with people about Supernova 2's North American release. Why do people keep clinging to this hope that Betson/Konami will release some kind of "update disc" that will unlock all the locked content? We've been shown nothing in the past that would make us believe Betson would do such a thing. Betson has time and again ignored the fans (and Konami) and done the easiest thing they could for the biggest profit possible. Want to know why IIDX isn't going to happen in the US? Betson wants to charge nearly twice what Konami charges for machines. Want to know why we don't have e-Amuse in the US? Betson. Want to know why we don't have GF/DM in the US? Betson.

Everyone keeps going with "oh just give it a chance, maybe they'll do something. and even if they don't at least we get some songs " NO that's stupid; I see no logical reason why US arcades should be willing to pay up to $2100 for an upgrade kit that will have about half of the available content locked and probably locked forever. We never got update discs for all the sync patches that Konami had on their e-amuse network, we never got an update disc for the boss songs, and I'm surprised that we even got the first disc (and I know some arcades didn't).

So, what I'm trying to say here is be realistic, people. Betson is not likely to release anything for SN2 other than the game itself, and even if they WERE to release some kind of an update/unlock patch, it will probably be with as much unneeded delay as the game itself was. Someone else made the point of "maybe they'll wait until we've had it as long as Japan had theirs to unlock it" in which case I will be PISSED. SN2 JP has been out since what, August? It's January now and it's not fully unlocked there, meaning it would be at least July here. That is INSANE and I don't know why you people are willing to put up with this.

STOP LETTING BETSON WALK ALL OVER US AND LAUGH AT THE BAGS OF MONEY WE THROW AT THEM FOR MEDIOCRE PRODUCTS
