Shit. Today is the last day of my contract with my ISP and now the prices are going up. My dad isn't going to like hearing that the prices double after the first-year contracts. =\
Honestly, I cannot tell what's going to happen. I don't know if my dad is willing to continue paying for this with the money being so tight. Of course, dial-up is no option; You have no idea the hell I went through AND the hell I made my family go through because of dial-up.

Our contract is for five years, but that's because they promised us lower than advertised rates because they messed up our bill the first three months and my dad is a professional at whining to companies to get what he wants. We save $20 a month or something. | |

Okay, so here's how it goes:
Apparently these cheap $13 and $18 services are just 1-year promos for new customers. After the first year, they hit you with double the price even if it's another contract term. Apparently the 1-year stuffs don't make money for the ISPs. =\ Great.
I found another ISP which costs $13 and is essentially the same service but from what I'm seeing at broadbandreports.com, that would be my last one in reserve. Whoop-de-doo.
So today I gotta close the account so I don't get fucked even if the next bill cycle isn't for another 10 days. I'm also hoping to nab a work study job at college and set aside some money to prepare myself to pay the halfs. :P
I'd appreciate it if someone doesn't mind lending me their account info for a few days so I can order the other service in a few days.
Cable service looks outrageously pricey. And it almost looks like Comcast would be my only option. XP | |
