That's why you seperate yourself from the fanbase as much as possible until you play it for yourself. I had it on my harddrive for over a year before I finally played it thoroughly, and now it's one of my favorite video games, hands down. It may be Super Metroid as far as gameplay goes, but it has a character all its own because of the music, and art direction.
Just thought I'd get your opinion on it, since we both seem to have pretty similar taste in games. Jawesome.
