soooooo i have an ipod now

my nomad finally kicked the bucket due to straight up wear and tear over two years of nearly continuous use

fortunately, my dad had the foresight to get the two year replacement plan when he got it as my christmas gift in 2004, so off to best buy i rolled to look into some other digital media player

now, to give you an idea of what my local best buy is like, they follow the more or less constant retail law that dictates that no large store can contain every single thing that you need; if it does then it's gonna close a week after it opens because it burns down in a freak accident or something

in this case, it has a fucking excellent console game selection, pretty good range of music, great movies, good PC games, good large-scale consumer electronics, and shit for portable electronics

this meant that i was looking at something from creative that played video and had 40 gigs of space but was like $350, a bunch of tiny little things that can hold approximately three songs and would disappear upon being pocketed, and a 30 gig ipod video for $250

in a hilarious twist of fate this meant that the best dollar-to-space ratio available was the fucking ipod, so off i went

my creative zen 20gb is working just fine thanks

however i will be upgrading to the 40gb since this one is completely filled and i have no plans to just 'stop' getting music

Perhaps you could've check to see if they would honor the refund thing that you got at that store online and used it to perhaps purchase something on their website?

you should have taken the ipod to ebay and sold it unopened

then used the money and purchased another creative mp3 product
