Thumbs up Beatmania Pocket 1 Mini-Review

The Beatmania Pocket Mini-Review
Beatmania Pocket Was The first game/toy in the "Bemani Pocket" Line.
For Starters BP1 has no on/off switch so you would have to wait for it to turn of by itself (you have to set it down and wait about five minutes) or take out the batteries. The Quality of the music is pretty good for a black and white game (the music sounds like a enhanced midi). Sometimes when you hit one of the buttons to hard it will get stuck and when you get it back to normal the game will think you hit that button . The Turntable is a little harder to push than usual , the bad thing is the song "DJ Battle 2" where there are notes when you have to repeatedly scratch which is almost imposible on BP1's turntable. Although there is many problems the game is very rewarding (i.e. Good Music, Good music quality , Good Graphics etc.) It is between kinda rare and regular rare. Suprisingly I got mine for only $30. overall i would give "Beatmania Pocket 1" a 7/10 . if you find it somewhere (i.e. eBay) , you should get it.

FYI none of the Bemani handhelds had on/off switches. You have to wait a minute for them to shut off themselves.
