Dance Dance Revolution Extreme (America)/PS2 This game may not have been what we were all expecting, but it is fairly good. It features a very wide variety of songs that no mix has ever featured before such as the US Liscensed songs like Your Rain (Rage Mix). The theme is nothing like the arcade, but it is ok. The songs are so-so, if you like songs like Y.M.C.A, then this is you, it does not feature as many Konami Originals as we all had hoped. It features primarily 4th and 8th mix Konami Originals for the ones it has. The game features Eye Toy compatibility for the first time. It can work in Party Mode with some games that do not seem to have much to do with DDR for the exception of the one that you use your feet like you normally would, but have to hit some hand notes on the camera. Like most other mixes, it has Edit Mode, and Workout Mode. The announcer is as usual annoying and make discouraging comments too often. So, if you are considering buying this game, you better like American Music, a home feel, not so much at the arcade, and it has the normal features, so if you want some new special feature other than Eye Toy, forget it.
Overall Game Score:6/10
Has a fairly good songlist, lacks in theme, announcer, brings in new Eye Toy features, good enough sound quality, and fairly good graphics as far as DDR goes. The Characters are slectable in the theme, not menus like in DDR Max 2. There are only 2 at first, but you will eventually unlock them all by playing. |
