Default DDR TX2000 Metal Pad Review

I just got my TX2000 pad this year, and I got enough info to wright a review...

This pad can be found on almost any site that sells dance pads for a low cost... but is it worth the buy?

well Its got its pros and its cons....

Pros...
comes with bar
gets thats "arcade feel"
easy to fix
LED lights

cons...
the bar is HUGE!
takes up, quite alot of room
the pad is heavy
the bar is a pain in the ass to put in
LED lights may/may not work on your PS2
sure the arrows are easy to fix, but why do they break anyways?

ok, when I first got this pad, the first thing I noticed was there was blue plastic over the metal pieces, not sure why, but it was not important, and it imediatly started peeling while I played. first off was DDR SuperNOVA. actualy the pad worked pretty damn well, and I pulled off some AAAs. I used the bar this whole time, but the bars foam is made so cheaply that my hands still were sliding while grabbing the bar.

I also noticed the foil on the bottom does not go to the front of the arrow. This will cause misses to people that barely touch the very bottom of the arrow. after playing for a while, my left arrow started recording misses. I took apart an arrows and found a wire got disconnected from the censor. I pulled out my solder gun, and repaired it. It worked like new again.

after playing some more, I noticed the bar wiggles more then expected, not only that, but its not arcade hieght, its indeed so tall, you almost stand normaly while playing at my height. Not onlt only is this a problem for some players, it would be some more money to get the bar stands for the pad.

I found it hard to pass max songs because of the bar, and it made me frustrated.

after playing my normal PS2 for a while, the LED lights stopped showing, and only worked on my japanese PS2. The pad is not light, it not heavy either, but you may be forsed to drag this pad and move it out of the way. not only that, but it taked up quite a bit of room, and the height of this pad is about 3 inches, so you may have to look down more while playing.

This dance pad is not a bad buy, its nice, and fits my needs. I am pleased with it, and most of my friends are too.

I give this dance pad a....
7/10
a damn good buy.

Not a bad review, but a few things need fixin':

1. It's spelled "write". Just thought you should know. On that note, it's probably a good idea to proofread, or to have someone else proofread your work for you.

2. Flesh out your pros and cons a little more. Lists are good, but a good review's primary goals are twofold: to inform a potential customer about a product, and to help someone evaluate a product without actually having to buy it. This is, more or less, the most important part of your review, so flesh it out a little more.

3. Try justifying your score a little more. After reading your review of the pads, it seems like they deserve maybe a four or five at the very most. If the pad is overly heavy, comes with a flimsy bar, required you to use a solder gun during your experience with it, and comes with shoddy pad lights, why did you give this is 7/10? What makes this "a damn good buy"?
