Crackin DJ

So after years of searching I finally found a Crackin DJ machine. Unfortunately it's not the second mix, but it's still fun as hell to play.

I was wondering if anyone here could give me some pointers on actually playing it. I have a basic understanding of how it works, but when I watch tatsujin on youtube, people are doing some stuff that doesn't really make any sense to me, like doing stuff with the fader as they're scratching.

Any help would be appreciated

i thought the arrows in the middle were for the fader

They are, but I often see people fading when there's no commands for the fader onscreen. Just like, while they're scratching on one side.

Well there's one by Detroit, same arcade that has a pretty nice 2dx 8th style machine as well. Videos don't work but no problems with any of the keys or TTs at all.
