Default Does anyone actually miss Para?

Just decided to listen to the PPP OST today...and realised I miss the game!
Although I know of one machine left in my city, do you guys miss it?

Personally, I think Konami could've taken that style of gaming to another level with different songs. And yes, I played it knowingly with the risk of looking like a tool. But it was fun nonetheless.

I thought it was a pretty fun game. It makes you feel REALLY stupid playing in public though. I wish there was at least a few more releases, at least on the PS2 where I dont care about playing it on front of people.

Yeah... really missed playing ParaPara...

I'm hoping that if they will make another one, they should put Daisuke in it. And the characters dance to it Daisuke style I also love listening to those Eurobeat songs...

Last Message would be nice to be included there too....

Yeah, i have PPP on PS2 and i don't play it that much, mostly because with only one game it gets old really quick, but i would love a new version of the game.

Do you have it's official controller? or those sensors??? I didn't know there was a PS2 Version of the game...

Yeah, there was a home version which has official sensors that just was put on the floor in front of you and you'd wave in front of each to trigger off each one. If you can find the set of the controller and game, it's pretty hard to find and could be expensive depending.

I miss the variety in dance gaming. It was fun when there wasn't just DDR and Pump. There was EZ 2 Dancer, Dance Station 3DDX, Dance Maniax, Para Paradise, and Techno Motion.

I remember when an arcade in my city had a Dance Maniax a few years back. I only played it once or twice. I wish they still had it now that I'm really into music games.

DX was just a 3 person cabinet used for trade shows. It had 3 sets of sensors and 3 monitors hooked up to one PCB. There's only one confirmed one that was ever made, although I've heard rumors that Konami actually had 2 for use at different locations. Either way, it was never made available for sale to arcades and wasn't even intended for players to use, IIRC only the actual ParaPara Allstars did demos on it.

As for PPP 3rd Mix, they did a location test, but it was right about the time ParaPara was dying. Techpara has gotten pretty popular as of late, but I doubt Konami will do anything with it because they've come to realize that it's hard to maintain so many arcade titles and be successful (hence why they killed off stuff like Keyboardmania, which was actually quite popular).

I knew two places in my general area that had it. Now both of them are gone.
