Donkey Konga (the rhythm games, not Jungle Beat) So I just got the two US releases of this Gamecube game (2nd hasnt arrived yet but its en route to my apartment). For any of you who don't know what this game is, its a rhythm game by Namco for the Gamecube that plays a WHOLE lot like Taiko Drum Master (well its by Namco so it figures). Many of the aspects of DK are in Taiko and vise versa. I have beaten the first game (DK), all difficulties (not the ones with hidden notes), with the gold DK ranking on each song (gold DK means its either perfect play or near perfect. A regular pass results in a silver DK. This is ALMOST like Taiko's gold crown/silver crown).
I have a question though. I was interested in getting the 3 japanese versions (1, 2, and 3) but I heard that running them with Freeloader (running Gamecube imports on your Gamecube/Wii) will make them not be able to save? I know you need a seperate memory card for different region games because you cant have japanese and american saves on the same card. But I read in several places that you can't even save the game if you use Freeloader to load the game. Can anyone confirm this, before July perhaps? |
