Well... Didn't see a topic on it yet surprisingly. I thought I'd share it with those who don't know about it.

SEGA is creating a VOCALOID rhythm game on the PSP featuring popular songs mostly made by the Nico-chu. How it's played is notes appear on the screen in the shape of an X, circle, triangle and square. A colored symbol of the same goes towards the note and when it reaches you press the button. So it's sort of like DDR plus DjMax I guess...
You will be able to change Miku's costume (most made by Piapro users) and also use other characters. (Meiko, Kaito, Rin, Len, Luka, Haku and Neru) So It basically has abit of a fanservice.
It's to be released in japan on July 2nd. Preorders come with a nedoroid petit of Miku.

Another cool thing you guys might like is that you can edit mp3 data and make note charts to them. You can also choose a set of different moves for Miku to dance to your song, and the stage background.

Yep, they’re finally confirmed by PIAPRO to be in the game. This means that all Crypton Vocaloid (as in Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO and MEIKO) are in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-. Along with this information, PIAPRO also revealed three new Hatsune Miku costumes. And of course, I’ll explain how the music editing feature in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-, as well as a gameplay video with “The Secret Garden”, a song composed by Kousaki Satoru and Hata Aki, which is this game’s theme song. And a relatively new commercial. Read on after the break to view them all.



I don’t know what will they be in the game or wether or not they’ll be a costume for Miku. For some reason, KAITO’s model looked like a girl to me. So anyways, three more costumes for Hatsune Miku was revealed by PIAPRO, and you can see them above. I love all of them! I can’t choose which one’s the best one. And there are six more degigns that were accepted but haven’t been converted into a 3D model yet. You can view all accepted designs in here. As I have said before, there is a relatively new commercial on Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-, which showed off the music editing feature. You can also hear “The Secret Garden” in the commercial. So let me explain how the music editing works. From what I’ve heard, it lets you add your own music to be played in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-. The editing process is fairly simple. First, you select the buttons on your PSP that you would like to use in your song. Those buttons would then be numbered and you can place them in grids and position it and determine where it will come from. And then, you can just select a stage, a costume, and make Miku dance according to the presets available. And you’re done. You can see how it works below.

I've been abusing this game since I got it. And I've been wondering.

Does anyone know a website where people post their edits on custom songs?

I'm getting too lazy to do the many things in edit mode, and I know the Japanese Otakus can do a better job than I can.

Either YouTube or Nico Nico Douga would be your best bet.

I'd like to see the Edit Mode & how complex it is, because I'd really like to make some charts (I still need to see some gameplay, though) to some Bemani songs I have on my Memory Stick.

Sadly, I don't have the money nor do I plan to pay $50-$60 for a PSP import at the moment for this. Perhaps once I get the money & it's cheaper I might get it.

Just so you guys know, they don't have the mp3s so you'll have to get them yourself, although most of the files have a readme with a link or a nicovideo number so you should be alright.

So I've only been playing Normal difficulty so far. Just finished it with at least a GREAT (gureeeeitooooo) rating (4 PERFECTs) so all the songs so far have Hard difficulty unlocked. But... there are two sections with 2x songs missing each... I have no idea how to unlock them and my Achievement stands at 89%.

Thoughts?

Those songs are alternate versions of the ones before them, unlocked by playing the original two and three times.

Turns out you just need to play the original version (Miku's version) on Normal difficulty twice to unlock Len's version and a third time to unlock Rin's version.

Whee 100% song unlocks. Now to work on Perfect clearing Normal (20 songs to go~) and Hard (a long way to go :P).
And from there, I'll surely unlock 100% on Module Convert and Miku's Room.
