IDEA: Guitar Ultimate

Although hard and a ridiculous idea, coming out of my mind (and I hope this is the right forum for this x.x), a Guitar game for REAL guitarists.

Guitar Ultimate.

You are shown your choice of Tabs or Sheet Music and you can choose a scroll speed, and try to play along with a midi controller adapter for the PS2/PS3, so the game picks up the note you are hitting. After practicing, you can challenge the game's career mode by actually playing the song correctly to the Tab/SM. You are graded from how well you hit the note, and when.

Discuss on how good of an idea you think this is, or how stupid..

This sounds cool, but there wouldn't be any easy mode because it's not like you can just miss some notes out! Also, there would be 20+ notes to hit!

I would actually enjoy that, but the guitar solos in songs man they are pretty hard to follow.

Being not a guitarist, I would think solo's would be near impossible to hit if you don't listen hard and listen to them for awhile. But sounds like a good idea.

There's actually something like that, but with piano/keyboard, not with guitar
