Marketplace Rating: 0 | Ossu Tatakae Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents thread I can't believe no one is talking about this yet. Anyway, I recently bought Ouendan a few days ago, can't wait to get it in the mail soon. In case you don't know, Ouendan is a weird game where you play as these male cheerleaders that help people through bizzare events. It will come out in the US as Elite Beat Agents, but it will be entirely different.
Just a video comparison:

Elite Beat Agents (takes a while to get to the song.) http://youtube.com/watch?v=lufagCtQX...0Beat%20Agents

Marketplace Rating: 1 | I absolutely love Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan for my Nintendo DS, and am eagerly awaiting the US release of Elite Beat Agents. I don't really like the new character designs, but I'm all for a completely new game with the same play style. It's almost a sort of sequel...
My favorite song and chart on the game is Over The Distance by Yaida Hitomi. It also has my favorite background...it's a really good song and story. I can only hope there's something like this in the American release of Elite Beat Agents.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | I just wonder what Elite Beat Agents can cook up that matches The End of the World.
The game looks great so far(and I love Ouendan), but the quality of that cover of Walkie Talkie Man has me a little worried.
The new stories look great, at least. Same sound effects and everything.

The Walkie Talkie Man stage was perfect and while I haven't heard the Deep Purple song, I've heard talk about it that was also very good.

You can stil leasily navigate and play the game without knowing japanese. It's as easy any any game that you can figure out just by what you see on the screen, basically. The "english option" is called Elite Beat Agents and that is the US port (probably worse that the original like all US ports are) of the japanese version. More than 75% of the games I own are imports and I cant read a lick of japanese (Im talking over 50 import games).

i can't believe this forum isn't going crazy over this game... i recently got EBA and a ds about a week ago and beat jumpin jack flash on hard rock today. it is fucking fantastic. everything about it. going to try and S everything...
anyway a few questions. can extended use (especially those spin parts) fuck up your touch screen? is a screen protector necessary?
i'm about to order ouendan. is it harder/easier?
btw apparently nintendo said they'd like to work with inis on a sequel. i think that would be awesome, especially if this game became a big nintendo franchise and the agents appeared on smash bros etc., as unlikely as that is.
did it sell poorly, or just not spectacularly?

Marketplace Rating: 56 | Some people say that their screens haven't been messed up by crazy spinning, but my screen has been shot from constant OTO/EBA play, so it depends on exactly how crazy you get by playing.
OTO is actually a little bit easier in my opinion, but it's not a huge difference.
Reggie said he a little let down by the sales, but he did like working with the team, so there is a possibility of a sequel.

i'm about to order ouendan. is it harder/easier? | My touchscreen hasn't messed up yet (and I spin like a madman, pulling 15000~18000 bonuses per long spinner on RSG), and most people report that spinners won't damage your touchscreen unless you play with something you probably shouldn't be using as a stylus.
People haven't really agreed if OTO is harder than EBA or if it's the other way around. People say RSG's meter unforgivability and spinners make it harder than JJF, others say the rapid movements of JJF make it harder than RSG. It's really up to you.
