If it was so successful, where's the better sequel?

I'm not even sure which side of the argument you're on now...

I'm on the side of the argument on saying that beatmania US wasn't as successful as you think it was. I countered your counter with a logic question.

Watch.

This is sarcasm. I don't really mean that it did, because, well, it didn't. I doubt that BMUS even sold 100,000 units.

From what I can tell, you seem to say that it was indeed a successful game (it wasn't), but it was worse than JP mixes (in which I agree with you, it was essentially BMLite compared to the others).

Logic. The game didn't sell well and unlike games like Beyond Good & Evil it doesn't really have a cult following, thus it doesn't have much of a chance to get a new sequel that omits the flaws of the original.

Elementary.

I wasn't into bemani when BMUS was released, and I live in australia, I have no idea how well it did, therefore I took your word for it...

*facepalm* Konami can't release X and Y music game in America, largely because it is loaded with music that Consumer Bob is not fond of, has a learning curve too intense for most American gamers, and for these reasons only the pure cult players will ever, ever buy them.

Konami can't sell these games in America because they are not profitable in America.

Do you guys get it yet?

surely making a drummani/guitarfreaks with an easier difficulty curve and american songs would be easier than making a whole new game from scratch.

NO NONONO! No american junk! GitaDora would be a bestest best seller without that junk because I'd buy every single copy!

Konami hates America.

Also, GF/DM Lite. Are you ready?

How about not since I want a copy...
Unless...
We buy a bunch of copies and force Lala to buy every one of them at jacked up prices! Brilliant!

Saying this looks like garbage would be a compliment.

Heh agreed.

Heck

This looks like a far worse iteration than US Beatmania was to BM IIDX.

It's unbelievable.

But I guess we can't do much about it

P.S.
Same goes for arcade releases of this.

After location tests of GFDM V4 in the West, nothing happened.

It never officially came out sadly.
