So yeah, that tells ya how bad the controls are, as in not at all as long as you figure out what you have to do exactly to get the targets that are 'flakey'.

The only thing that bugs me is wedding march is in the list in quick play, but I can't find out how to unlock it.

I found a post on gamefaqs, but I can't tell if it's lovelove mode, or if you have to 100% something (the last post in the thread was like "I played it on easy...100% the first two then 94%"...so absolutely not helpful).
I made a thread on gamefaqs asking how to get Wedding March, but didn't get much help. I tried playing Love Love mode on Super Hard, but no luck. Then I decided to try Love Love again on the Normal difficulty setting and got an A ranking on both the first and second stage. After the second stage it said I got an "extra stage" which happened to be Wedding March. After completing it, I got the song.

So I assume getting an A on the second stage will reward you with an extra stage.

If anyone wants to trade Samba friend codes, mine is 3910-0293-3480

If you see "Lando-kun" on any of the leaderboards, that's me. The last time I checked, I'm the only one on Groove is in the Heart's Super Hard leaderboard, lol.

Wiimotes or GTFO.

Also, I got used to the controls, and I find this game totally fun now.

Seriously, Groove is in the Heart in the SC5 level... Gearbox has some twisted sense of humor. I like these guys.

I got the game, and hate the controlls. I love the songlist, but the game feels completely broken. I dont see how the wii-motion could help this, I thought it just added foward and backward motion, but I think this is going to be one of those games I buy, play once, and it never gets touched again. Also, I thought the maracas were sold seperately?

There's a set of 3rd party maraca wii-mote shells available, but I imagine they don't do anything to better the controls. Other than that, nope.

I just knew they were going to use the SC5 stage for that song. Kier jabs aside, the song fits the stage nicely.

There are some 3rd party maraca add-ons.... but the downside is that they ONLY support the Wiimote-Nunchuck control setup.

They are only 15 bucks... and are a pretty ridiculous buy.

What I don't get is why the wiimotes don't make that maraca sounds. Seriously, it would have made them a bit more maraca-like.

That's odd, my wii-motes make the sounds. By default the shake sounds should be set to maracas in the options menu. I changed the mine to Ulala. (up sensors="up!" down sensors="down!" middle sensors="Chu!")

Check your wii-mote volume and see if that's the problem.

Yeah, I figured that's what it might have been. I'm pretty stingy on my batteries, so I lower the volume and eliminate the vibrations, even if they're rechargable. :3

Popping in because although I haven't played the game (need to save up~), I wanted to respond to this -

Better than Rock Band's 'standard' $2/song...so long as the DLC songs aren't already on the disc.

I don't really feel like playing the game again.....I might try it on Sunday since my youth group has a nice big area for their Wii that I feel like I could have a better time out of it. Maybe I'll force myself to play more. I kinda feel like trading it in for money towards a PSP, but I also kinda feel like keeping it...If it weren't for the controls, this would've been a great game...

10/4 edit: I decided to give it another try & I completed Normal career without almost no hastle. Then I did Hard (yay, Sonic's Challenge!) & I was surprised to see only 3 songs. This is where the control flaw REALLY shows. I can't pass Mambo #5 due to the controls not responding...I keep fighting between a C & a D ranking.

yeah this game is clearly flawed. i bought the game today and trying to get the controls to agree with you is way too much hastle. damn sensors... dont think ill be playing this game again either. the fricken gamestop employees were laughing at me. they were like, "*chuckle* were you the one who called about this game earlier??? *chuckle* now you're sure you want this??? *chuckle again* heh alriiiightt *chuckle*." then another employee walks over with the maracas sold separately, "*chuckle* HEY if you REALLY enjoy the game you can even buy these too! only 15 bucks! *chuckle*"

Yeah, I wouldn't hold it against you. The PSP-3000 models should be out within a week, no?
