I wonder how this will turn out.

I wonder how this will turn out. | Personally, I still don't know as to what I should think about it (or the game itself).
On the plus side, I do appreciate the fact that it is from Numark (which is one of the big dogs in the DJ Equipment industry along with Pioneer and Technics) so I guess this should be a solid quality product. In terms of design though, well I don't mind the original design but it obviously appears that the 're-design' look is more compact and represents the standard form factor dimensions of most electronic turntables.
Just my two cents here regarding this

you will be using the turntable and cross fader like an actual scratch turntable,
ie cutting with the fader while manipulating the turntable forwards and backwards to create diff sounds!!
look at what numark actually just released:
numark NS& controller http://www.djtechtools.com/wp-conten...numark-dm7.png
this is a standard set up for djs and have the configuration like i want, will work as you dont uses the buttons and turntable mush at the same time.

As for the gameplay, it looks kind of like what Beatmania US should have done, instead of giving us a shoddy slap-job. It's certainly not going to be the intense button-mashing of IIDX, but the extra features make it, dare I say, more fun. All the freestyle options available are a huge plus, and the ability to import outside sounds into the game should lend itself to some great moments.
Not sure if I'll take this over DJ Hero, though. Each game clearly has its flaws, so we'll see which turns out better on release.

Honestly I like the way the scratch controller looks. I'm a minority on that subject.
Also, MPC pads and touch sensitive turntable, this is legitimate gear.

Cheap 80s is bad for $120 and considering it's supposed to have a modern urban flavor.
But I do like the MPC pads/touch sensitive turntable. Should turn out a hell of a lot better than whatever Konami's bundling with games. Only shame is that 5 buttons = not compatible with beatmania US.

I think Konami seriously needs to overhaul the IIDX home controller now that they're finally updating their gameplay mechanic.

I say give it achance and if you want to mod it then be my guess. me personaly i would love to see what the Scratch community will come up with when the game comes out.

I hope the skill level caps low, that way you can focus more on the beats/scratches on the spot.
Considering I'm just starting to get into music production. This is perfect. I've been dreaming about getting an MPD32, Technics turntable, Numark Mixer combo going for a while.
Also, first time I've posted on this site in years, and it has nothing to do with Bemani. Ha.
