Marketplace Rating: 0 | On August 23, 2006, in the process of buying a Daily Lottery Ticket, I noticed that it said that the next lottery draw was approximately August 30, 2006. Am I misunderstanding the word "daily" by assuming that it means once every day, not once every week? Quote:

Maybe it's disabled because there are no winners. If the reason for lowering bank interest is to reduce the number of tokens given out, that would imply that they are interested (no pun intended) in reducing the number of tokens. What better way to reduce tokens than to have a lottery system that does not produce any winners? Without a published list of winners, you probably should not buy a lottery ticket unless you really don't need the tokens.

Also, multiple people have come forward and said their token counts came from the lottery. If you're so paranoid about a virtual economy, I recommend you withdraw all your tokens from the bank, in case the Media Store Stock Market crashes, and people rush to withdraw their savings.

A Media Store Stock Market could be a great idea, as the riskier investments can produce a greater reward. Heck, anything can be better than that 1.2% rate.

EDIT: Someone might want to check the Daily Lottery code or something, because it seems to have allowed me to enter 5 tickets multiple times today - on what seem to be separate contests. I thought I was just reading the dates in my history wrong or something - but it seems like daily contests are occurring more than just once a day or something...
I hope I don't get punished for this, as I came across this possible 'exploit' out of curiousity and not malice...
