Exclamation Private Messages are NOT going through!

I've thought for a while that some off my PMs have not been going through, but now I am positive that they haven't been. I just got to seperate people claim that never got my messages that I sent them. I'm not liking the fact that some of my communications are being distorted, because people are not getting all the massages I send.

Why on earth would this happen? What's the problem?

Start requesting a read receipt for messages you send. That way you'll know for sure when someone reads them. You never know, the people who said they never received your messages might've just been lying.

Yeah, but isn't there an option to deny PM receipts in the Forum Shop, Panda?

However, I DO realize that you've read the most recent PM I've sent you.

Mind telling me what you think of it in the thread I made?

I know my own sister would never do that. EVER! And if the other person I sent to was just going to ignore me, why would he reply to the second message I sent him?

But okay, I never remember that thing is there. I'll try using it more.

I quickly glanced over it and it is similar to a word filter, which we have already said isn't possible without us rewriting some of the forum.

Edit: I just reread your post and I noticed the other half of it. That really is asking for a lot. Since that is above my level, you'd better get Keith or Doug to look at it and not me.

I think it's happened to me at least once, now that I gave this some more thought.

Back in December, I received an infraction. For some strange reason, the PM notification didn't go through. I don't know if that has stopped due to the forum for infractions and warnings being made public, but in any case, I didn't get any PM telling me of this.

Administrators: would any of you mind giving me an infraction and then reversing it? As an experiment, to see if a PM of it goes through?

This would be pretty hard to track down. I know that PMs are working, I get them every day.

My guess is either, the person either didn't really send a PM and lied. They thought they sent a PM but something happened and the page never loaded or something.

Also your infraction in December was reversed on the same day. The only thing I can think of is that since it was reversed, the PM was deleted. However I'm not positive on that.

Interesting... is this reversal supposed to happen? Because it could easily be tested...

Maybe the recipient's inbox is full?

Those inboxes are just too small

I agree with this, it should be 100 messages. Not 50.

Donate $25, and your inbox limit goes up to 500.

Eh, I can live with the limit by archiving it periodically. It's just inconvenient.

If you could increase your inbox limit by spending tokens I'd be all over that, tho.

Since when? I've got a max of 100 messages, of which both inbox and saved copies of sent messages count against said limit.
