Hmm. Shyness is kind of preventing me from going since I've never been to anything like this before of this size (1 DDR tournament, but it was basically small), but I might go with a group of my friends. If I can't get like 3-4 people to come, though, I'm not going, since otherwise I'd just feel really awkward. I enjoy bowling. And I love DDR, but I don't really like any other BEMANI games. I dunno about the tournaments; not interested in the Pop'n and IIDX ones, but I'm extremely interested as to how good a DDR freestyle can be when carefully choreographed and practiced. That better be a good freestyle tournament, though, because staying inside during summer is a sin.

BTW your regular hours are awesome.
I just wish your site had a section of it that actually either details or lightly brushes over what specifically you have to offer at TGA. For a random person who knows nothing about BEMANI, your site's current menu (HOME DIRECTIONS FORUMS PHOTOPOST) is completely useless. [one might not know what PHOTOPOST is supposed to entail, especially when the link doesn't work as it currently isn't]

Due to an insane two weeks at TGA, I haven't been able to stop in. I want to say that It's great to see that the Bowlmani thread picked right up right where it left off on 6.0

Some things to remember are that if you have not booked a hotel yet, we would suggest that you do so soon.

Colonial Hotel
625 Betty Spring Rd
Gardner MA
978-630-2500

The current pricing is:
$99 a night for 4 people
$90 a night for 2 people

Initially there was some problems with new staff at the hotel who did not know anything about the event. This has been corrected for some time, so please make sure that you get your reservations in soon.

Please visit the bowlmani website for more information.

Also please remember that this discount also applies anytime you book a room at the hotel, not just for this event.

For anyone out there who is into Dj equipment, we are currently seeking an effector for kors k to use for the concert. We would both appreciate it someone has access to one and could bring it to the concert.

If you do have access to one, please notify me personally. Once I obtain the specs I will discuss them with him personally and see if it's something he can use.

Equipment wise, everything looks like it's on track equipment wise.

As you may, or may not know Fever is installed and running. Our new IIDX monitor
should be arriving this week (three weeks late). And DDR Super Nova (aka Super Grover) is also scheduled to arrive this week.

I guess that's all for now. Things have been going great at the new building, this is going to be the perfect way to celebrate our three year anniversary.

I look forward to meeting everyone personally. I'll see ya soon!

P.S. Don't forget to register if you are going to the event.

Thanks

Andy

I apologize that our website sucks. (Sorry if that was too blunt for anyone).

Our website is scheduled to be re-launched soon. It was supposed to be re-launched with the grand opening, but in true TGA fashion, nine million things broke and went wrong as soon as my hands touched the keys to the building.

The good news is that everything is now in working order and my staff can now concentrate on getting the website up to speed.

RSP is part of the website staff, so if you don't like the new TGA site when it's done, you can throw stuff at him at Bowlmani fest.

I wouldn't let your shyness stop you from attending. I can assure you that when you step into a building with current versions of IIDX, Pop'n, DM, GF, DDR among others, with people who share your common interests, all reservations will disappear.

I can assure you that all the TGA regulars are great guys, and everyone from bemanistyle who's made the trip has had a blast. No matter where you come from to travel to TGA, you just fit right in. Everyone's happy to be hanging out and playing games. We encourage it, that's why we set up couches, TV's and other things to make the social aspect more appealing.

I hope that helps, if you have any more questions about TGA we'll be happy to answer them for ya!

Thanks

Andy

SuperNOVA's arriving this week? I thought it was delayed until winter? Or are they giving you a buggy version anyways because you preordered or whatever?

Well, if it really is arriving this week, that's good news.

Like Andy said, I can take requests at BMFest that users might want re-done to make the site amillion times better.

Our SuperNOVA was supposed to be in. Not being delayed until Winter, shipping was held back for them to fix minor things. We're not sure if we're getting a buggy version or not. Paying that much for a cabinet, we better not be getting anything but a final.

Ah, but this is Betson you're dealing with. You never know. ='(

One thing I look forward to...hopefully more people willing to discuss Bemani! Not just play them, but have interesting discussion! Yes it's possible :P I've had some great ones during tournaments and conferences, so I'm sure I can have more enlightening ones. (One of my favorites was with about a half dozen of the best Canadian DDR/ITG players about bar usage and score over fun. Very interesting and I learned a lot.)

Also, are there going to be nametag things handed out? I remember this being discussed a long time ago. It would definately be handy!

also just a little note... EX's for fever songs wont be unlocked by just simply getting to Extra Stage and playing/passing them either

so yeah only way to play EX Fever songs are actually getting to Extra Stage (which i think is getting like 128 and up challenge points? not sure)

Ack! Reading this thread only makes me more impatient. I really can't wait for this event. I've never played on a Pop'n cabinet (I still suck), and I've only played on a IIDX cabinet once (an 8th style in San Antonio). I hope I don't just cream my pants when I walk in the building.

At the moment, I'm going with Ranatalus. We might be using a van, so anyone else in Ohio or on the way to TGA who might want a ride... we can probably pick you up. I still haven't reserved the hotel room, but I'm going to attempt to do so tomorrow, based on my cash situation. As a last resort I'm sleeping in the van rofl.

I'm going to whore the pump machine. Hopefully it's not as crowded as some of the other stuff.

Your definately going too. At the grand opening some machines we're being used consecutively and some we're not. To clear things up, current staff at TGA, we think all the machines will be used consecutively. Come Wednesday (if your able too) and play everything without a wait and enjoying some games before the rush. I'll be there getting things ready and setting everything up for the following day. Also, last minute questions I can answer today.

God I am so excited. I won't be there until Wensday night, but just seeing everyone again after a whole year will be worth it (besides Kappa, I saw him in November =3)

Having been playing GG Slash alot lately, I should have plenty to do, as well as being mediocre at bowling. I agree with Andy where it is not just about the games, it's about being a community and having fun with everyone. Last years VJArmy thing me and Daisuke organized was a blast and TGA has only gotten better since then. Andy and everyone have been really dedicated and are throwing such a big party for everyone, it should be great. Can't wait to see the new TGA, the last one was a bit too small. Maybe Kraz might fire off some of his famous catch frases again too.

"NO MORE LOVLIES"

"AUBREY? WITH A GOIL THAT AIN'T DEAD?"

Also looking forward to the Voldemort Banquet too.
