Default Things you should know about the hotel...

Since Ive already stayed there, I guess Ill give some advice here.

1. Despite what the website says, I could only get wifi in the hotel lobby.
I know it sucks, but they arent going to let you set up your desktop there. If you have a laptop with an 802.11G card, youre set though. Theres one public computer, but it will be swampsville during the event.

2. There are no RCA jacks on the TV. If you want to bring your PS2/Xbox/360/Gamecube/Whatever you will need an RF adapter.

At least you arent figuring this out after bringing the PS2, Ransai controller, all your stuff upstairs, picking out a game, and realizing it then.

3. The lady at the front desk is insane, and will not approve of our dress.
Dont let it bother you. Shes just old and this hotel is just nice.

4. Bring lots of 85 cent bills with you if you intend to use the candy machines not in the arcade. They demand bills and exact change.

5. The drink machines are kinda a rip, but the nearest general store is miles off. Better than nothing.

6. The arcade is pretty lame, even without the comparison of TGA. If youre bored though, and your PS2 doesnt work, Pacman is great.

Aw fuck, I was kinda worried about the RCA jacks. I wonder how many people still use RF, or even have adaptors still? :S

Pardon my being Canadian, but 85 cent bills? What? Unless that was a typo?

I have an RFU switch for Playstation I can let someone borrow...

But I guess for us people that will have homes to go too are lucky and get to update the BM Fest posts often with media.

I will try and update it daily, if not have someone help with it. I'll be staying at the hotel for maybe 2 nights so i'll have my laptop to update from.

Like I said, I have quite a few RF adapters for each system. I know of at least 2 PS2 ones I have.

And about the cable TV thing, the last hotel I was at had the cable things like soldered in or something so you couldn't take them out =/

MAzrim, as long as I get up there in one piece, I'll have a PS2 RFU adapter.

I guess this kind of a place is too high-class to offer a free continental breakfast? That'd be nice if they had it though, because it'd be one less meal to worry about.

Except that continental breakfasts are weak, and it's not very filling.

Sometimes, much nicer hotels offer free full breakfasts though. So they'll probably offer breakfast either way.
