I loooooooove psy. I've recently gotten immersed in it thanks to the nearby psytrance crew in Atlanta (i recently went to arctic meltdown, amazing party). I hope the thread belongs here, I want to talk about it, expand my exposure and in general spread the good vibes!

Also, Astral Projection is mainly goa trance, too. There's a fine line between the two genres, haha. Some DJ's and hardcore fans will give you a lot of shit if you mislabel them. Others don't care becuase the two are so similar.

My point is it was goa, not psytrance. Youre comparing two different eras of IM with two different kinds of music.

Mainly, if it sounds insane alien music with weird vocal parts and stutters, it's probably psytrance.
If it sounds like middle-eastern/Indian music with a steady rolling bassline and lots of arps and pads it's probably goa.
