Default Any good female singers/vocalists to recommend?

Aside from ALY & AJ and PARAMORE, any others from which you guys recommend?

P.S.
Oh and wow, I can't believe that it's only now I realize how cool PARAMORE sounds live.

Paramore - That's What You Get (LIVE)
YouTube - Paramore Live: That's What You Get

Hayley Willams is simply awesome (and sounds way better than Avril Lavigne to boot )

Well, you seem to like Aly & AJ, so you'd probably settle for any female-fronted pop-Rock, right? Then go ahead and listen to some Nightwish and at least gain the illusion of being cultured. Second thought, bad idea. Don't listen to Nightwish. Nor should you listen to anyone who suggests them. Tarja sucked as a vocalist and their new material with what's-her-face just sucks in general.

Go listen to Girlschool. They were awesome. So are the Muffs. Sneaker Pimps were also awesome back in the day. Qntal, for the weird folky/orchestral/electronic stuff. If you like cellos, Rasputina is a good choice. Stolen Babies has a female vocalist, but they're a bit... out there. And of course, Trance Of Mine is awesome. But no one's ever heard of them. Don't know why... they sound like Lacuna Coil if LC ever had talent. There's the classic Ace of Base. Gabby La La is sort of like a cross between an elf and Björk, who I guess could also be mentioned if you don't mind her monotonous instrumentals and overly shrill voice. The B-52s sort of split vocal duties between male and female, but their main hit "Roam" was strictly females IIRC.

And that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

My favorite is Janet Jackson. She has a load of amazing pop/r&b songs, including the popular "That's The Way Love Goes." I suggest you check her songs out.

Since you like Paramore, you might like a band called Kenotia. The female vocalist is almost similar to Paramore vocalist.

Besides that, I recommend the following:

Meg and Dia
Within Temptation
Automatic Love Letter (I think thats the name of the band)

Seconded.

Anyway, Cher is a great vocalist. Her voice might be too deep for people's tastes, but she is the most soulful vocalist I have ever heard.
