Anybody seen Jumper yet?

I wanna go see the movie.
Can anybody tell me is it really worth seeing.

I liked it, but the critics don't. I think it's hit or miss depending on what kind of movie you like. It could have been much better, though.

is it one of those movies where they put all the action scenes in the previews, so by the time you go to see it theres nothing new?

Actually there's a lot more action in the actual movie, including more car jumping. You don't see all the action scenes in the previews, and the scenes you do see are longer anyway so it's cool.

I personally liked it and thought that it was fun (even though Rotten.com gave it a 32% critic rating).

But yeah, who gives a damn about critics anyway? If you really like to see it, then what can they do to stop you from doing so?

1. The books were better.

2. Mannequin Skywalker shouldn't have been cast for Davy Rice.

3. Jamie Bell is fucking awesome as Griffin.

FYI for those who haven't read the books, the original JMPR novel was basically re-written (pretty drastically on certain points) to be the movie, and then Gould wrote what I call a prelude novel to the movie, Griffin's Story. I recommend reading both before seeing the movie.

Jumper was fantastic really, but you get alot more out of it when you see it with someone else, you can easily spend and hour or more taking about how awesome the movie was and another hour about how fun it would be if you were a Jumper.
