Do you have any asian channels, like AZN or something? I miss the States now, because all i get are east indian soaps here...

Anyway, the best drama I finished watching was a Korean soap called the Bizarre Bunch (2 Peculiar Man, 2 Peculiar Women). It was really funny and very dramatic at times, and it had me on the edge of my seat until the very end, which was very satisfying.

Other good Korean Drama that you can find DVDs for (if you have the patience) is Summer Scent, Hello God, My Rosy Life (really good one, and a true tear jerker), and Wedding. I haven't seen many Japanese dramas, I wish I could, though. If I ever get back to the states, I want Japanese Direct TV...not that it'll do me any good, but one can try.

LA channels 18 and 44 were just filled to the BRIM with these shows. Although I just watched 18 for their 1 hour of Fuji TV.....

Try using something called PPlive. It's a P2P TV program with a bunch of Asian movies and television shows. News too.

Consider watching the live action GTO. I'm not sure how loyal it is to the anime, having never seen it, but it is very good.

I second the live action GTO. It can't be as over the top as the anime, but it gets the spirit of the story right. And the guy they have for Onizuka is great.

Japanese Dorama are the best!!
you should watch them...here some great dorama that you have to seen:

1. Ichi ritoru no namida (one litre of tears) ep 1 - 11 End
2. Imma ai ni yukimasu (be with you tv series) ep 1 - 10 End ==> the movie
was also great.
3. H2 (kimi to ita hibi) ep 1 - 11 End ==> based on manga by adachi mitsuru.
4. Nobuta wo produce ep 1 - 10 End

there are still many good j-dorama but that 4 drama above is very recomended heheh
