Marketplace Rating: 3 | Bemani Ringtones and Phone-Related Stuff If you've wanted Bemani ringtones for free for ages, go to Simply right-click the file and choose Save. Make sure you have a bluetooth phone and a bluetooth adapter for your PC or these will be pointless.
Please post some places aswell, as I really really REALLY want a fe PARANOiA and Drop Out ringtones!

Marketplace Rating: 3 | They don't require bluetooth, by the way. There are plenty of other ways to transfer media to your phone. Data cables, infrared, web browsing phones can download them if you upload them, Verizon has a media transfer service for 25 cents (it'll take anything converted to a .wav), etc. Lower-end phone owners without Bluetooth transfer still have options! I got a RED OST wallpaper and QQQ for my ringtone using Verizon's 25 cent thing (since they block out absolutely every other way to get shit onto your 'media phone').

Marketplace Rating: 3 | That works for you lucky, lucky people who have phones that don't block out all the features. My family switched to Verizon, so I had to sell off my wonderful Sony Ericcson (;_ which had a great camera, web everything, all that fun media shit. Now I have a Verizon junker that doesn't have driver support for any software used to transfer media. The USB port doesn't actually do anything but charge it. No Bluetooth or infrared. No web browsing; only the locked sites for news and sports that Verizon runs. No mp3 ringtones unless you pay up the ass from Verizon. It didn't even come loaded with a simple game like SNake or Solitaire; it's $8 for something that ancient.
Had some people try to get me running some other Motorola software for other models, but it won't work with mine at all. Verizon is poop, for anyone that intends on actually using any non-call features with a phone. Be wary. I now have the only option of using Verizon's transfer service at 25 cents per file with limits on size, no mp3, blah. Had to compress down a tiny wallpaper and put QQQ through a shitty .wav compression to get it to be on my phone at all.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | The midi for Traces is surprisingly good.
If I didn't already have the mp3 of it on my phone, I'd download it.

You can upload a 30 second mp3 and then from your phone's internet, punch in the address www.mobstorage.com and then input the code you were given and voila! mp3 ringtone
That's for the people who don't have phone software or USB connections to the PC.
If you are searching for a USB cable for you phone, ebay is the best place to get them, especially if you have those phones like the RAzr or what not. The USBs can be expensive at your mobile retailer.

As for being somewhat on topic, does anyone have the codec beep from Metal Gear Solid? Dewgy tried to send it to me, but I got some bullshit message from my phone about it not being the right file format, and I keep forgetting to ask him about it again. I wanna use it as a text message beep.

Call them or take it to a booth and get a good laugh at the bullshit they tell you to try and cover that fact up. Honestly, I'm surprised you could get contacts onto it. Go to Verizon's site and find their online transfer service, which will bill you per file sent, if you really want something on your phone. Convert an mp3 into a .wav under 30 seconds and make a medium-compression/wuality jpeg at your screen's native resolution if you want a new wallpaper. 25 cents per file, be warned, there may also be other fees attached.
If you want to be able to ever do anything with your phone, stay away from Verizon. That is all.
The Razr is better off than other Verizon phones, because I don't think Verizon forced a new OS onto it like they did to my Motorola something. Still, just because you have a USB port and a USB cable does not mean that you will be able to put anything on your phone. Make sure you check with multiple employees and sites from your provider and detailed phone reviews before you get your heart set on advertised features.

Those resources are for Motorola phones, which is what I have, but there're probably some links to other stuff on the last, at least. Generally, I believe you can flash a phone with a new OS and get around that stuff, but the exact procedure depends on your phone.

Marketplace Rating: 3 | Yes, well, those sites are wonderful for non-Verizon phones, and the Razr since it has support. My model doesn't even have drivers out for the $30 software Verizon TELLS you to buy legally. Go figure.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | I still feel bad that we couldn't find a way to help you, Nomi :\ In general, though, for phones that you can get the right drivers for, I'm pretty sure there are ways to circumvent Verizon's dumbshittery by flashing the phone, though that can be risky, probably violates the terms of service, and definitely voids the warranty.
