Alright, this is something that I figure would be interesting to hear about. What stands out as the best holiday related TV special or movie.

Personally, I consider the best one to be the Woodland Critter Christmas episode of South Park as my favorite.

I still remember the Family Guy Christmas Special when Frosty got f'ed up by Lois! Classic scene!

"The Year Without a Santa Claus" strictly for the "Snow Miser/Heat Miser" song. That is easily the best song to come out of those Rankin/Bass specials and the show itself is pretty cool.

Have to give a nod to "A Christmas Story" and "It's a Wonderful Life" (I am a total sucker for this film, I admit it), too.

I think that Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer has to be the best. Although I do like the Peanuts Christmas Special and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

As for live-action stuff, It's A Wonderful Life is probably the best.

The Nightmare Before Christmas easily ranks among my top favorites. Nods to A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Rudolph. I also like a Muppets Christmas Carol and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
