Smile Best movies of 2006!

It's the end of the year. New Years is ready and roaring. Time to ask what the best movies of the year were.

Seeing as I've only seen 1 movie this year that acually came out this year. I can't really say. You all obviously know it was Eragon Anyway. (Dang they need to make samller font sizes...) I have to say I've wanted to see Casino Royale though.

I'll go ask a few people. *Leaves room*

*Comes back* Well, my brother is asleep, so I asked my mom and sister.

Mom: Departed; Dream Girls.

Sister: Happy Feet; Cars; The above ones. My sister has seen like 200 movies this year, and can't think very well at 1:00 a.m. I'm sure she has more somwhere...

Worst movie of the year: Eragon. No doubts there. Yes, it's even worse than the crapfest that was Santa Claus 3.

Best Movie: Hm. Possibly Borat? Snakes on a Plane? Little Miss Sunshine?

Yeah. Siding with Borat. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

You cant be fucking serious about Jackass II T_T

Borat was funny but I feel dirty calling it the best movie of the year...the only reason it was so funny was because of its roaring antisemetism and stupidity. Granted I laughed my ASS off (especially with the uh, naked fight), but still....

Little Miss Sunshine was pretty good though, even if it didnt get any kind of mainstream buzz...A Scanner Darkly looks interesting but then I remember Keanu Reeves is in it and lose interest...

Even though Keanu is in it it's still a really good movie. Just try to forget about acting skills while watching.

Don't hurt me.. but I really liked Superman Returns because I've been a Superman fan since I was a baby. Also, SOAP was good as is Saw III
.

I totally forgot about Saw III, that was also a good movie. Worst of the trilogy, but still good.

I normally don't watch many movies at all, but I had to see Borat, SoAP and Clerks 2. All were worth it, too.

Ah crap, now I have to go dig out all my ticket stubs from the year (yes, I save them for some unknown reason).

Final Destination 3, Saw III, Silent Hill, Jackass II, Hostel, Night Watch = Guilty pleasure films that I loved.

The most notable films of the year, in my mind, were...

The Queen (finally got to see this last week)
For your Consideration (probably my favorite movie all year)
Thank you for Smoking (hilarious)
United 93 (emotional but important)
The Science of Sleep (incredible)
Volver (Almodovar has done better but still great)
