Bleach

I dont know how many people on here are Anime fans, but I'm sure that there have to be some because of the fact that Bleach openings and closings are on the top of the download charts for .sm files. Anyways i'm sure you all know that Bleach has been licensed in the U.S. well anyways I was reading a Wikipedia article to learn that it will air on Adult Swim as of September 9th, 2006. But I learned something else also.

Oh yes, Bleach will have a video game developed by Sega on Nintendo's new console, Wii. This actually looks really REALLY cool, even though there are no screens or videos, It seems like an amazing idea. Post your thoughts on this

I'm just glad that they are lisencing this early and not waiting 150 episodes like most more famous animes.

Yes, I'm one of those "look, the manga doesn't have SOUL VAMPIRES" people. I'll quit being a dick about it when the anime stops sucking. (At least the manga is still PLOT-BASED.)

If you want to bitch about filler in anime go to gaia. Bleach has it's good points. The weird thing is that this is the first anime to be on adult swim with an episode count in the triple numbers since inuyasha. Let's hope it doesn't suffer the same fate.

Nonono. Filler I have no problem with, in fact, I rather enjoy some of the filler in series like Hunter x Hunter (where it's more of a continuation of the details of the story.) My issue is with filler that goes so far away from the source material that it's painful... and let's face it:
When you introduce an entirely new set of characters and come up with incredibly painful concepts like the Bound... Bounds... whatever, I've since forgotten the "technical" name for the soul vampires, and anyone who HAS seen the source material knows that all of the new stuff is probably going to just implode when they end the filler arc, it's not altogether enjoyable. Matter of fact, it's almost embarassing.

So that's my issue, not the concept of filler itself.

Couldn't we have talked about Bleach in the Anime Thread?

Anyways, I like Bleach. Last part of the manga I read was when Ichigo was with all those guys who were half normal/half Hollows. I kinda like how the anime isn't just a copy+paste of the manga, though I found it kinda odd that the anime went w/ vampires....Not as good as the manga (which is sticking w/ the storyline), but still worth watching on Adult Swim (since I don't download anime that's longer than, say, 52 episodes).

Bleach does appear to be a solid anime series.

Though I believe that there are quite many episodes (around 180+ eps as of this week)

Unfortunately, its TV ratings on Adult Swim USA don't appear to be quite good

I just hope that they won't axe the show until at least the entire series ends......

P.S.
I still don't know why the show is called "Bleach" (the wiki article on it says nothing bout this)
