All I got with it was a 2 year warranty so my charging of the thing is relying all on the computer...USB...thing >_>
Anyway its my first MP3 player and would like some...I dunno, Info, reviews...anything that can get me prepared for the thing..

Well, I'm not sure if you do have a Vision M or just a Vision, but I myself have a 30 gig Vision M that I got for Christmas this year, and I really really like it. Sound quality is great, it supports almost major formats out of the box (xVid, DivX, etc), you don't have to deal with iTunes, and the video quality is pretty good too. Overall a great player.

No. I think the only lossless formats it can support are wav and wma 9 lossless. You made a good choice on the mp3 player. Just to tell you, you can't drag and drop. All of Creative's Players are MTP. But it shouldn't affect your experiance too much.

Uh lets see.
Anything from Archos. (in the wiki link, it says that Archos supports MTP. It also supports UMS. You can switch between the two)
Anything from Cowon.
Anything from Meizu.
Some mp3 players from Iriver.
I'll think up some more later.

You actually can pretty much drag and drop. Highlight what you want to put on there, right click, Send to Creative Zen Vision M, bam you're done. You do have to install some software but it's easy to use and unobtrusive.

Well Rockbox is an alternate fimware for a limited amount of players. Since the iPod is supported by Rockbox means that there is a large population of people that can use Rockbox. None of Creative's DAP's are supported by Rockbox. You can read more about Rockbox here. Rockbox - Open Source Jukebox Firmware

My brother has one and it's pretty good. You make upload pictures and put in your own background. The songs are automatically sorted alfabetically and it's good quality unlike what some mp3's do to their songs... anyway, be careful with it because it's pretty delicate. You should get a case for it somewhere or it'll break.
