Lol, the movie is rubbish.

So is the book.

I kind of like how everything was totally blown out of proportion by the media. So much so that the treasure hunters tv show that is on now is being marketed as being created by the people who made the da vinci code movie.

Back to the movie/book. the movie was ok but i dont see why everyone is getting so worked up about this, not only is the whole story fiction, but he stole it from someone. The book sucked too, i really like the concept of it all but the writing was just down right suck. suck. suck. suck. suck. suck.

I don't get everyone's problem with the movie. Sure it was long but I thought it was an ok representation of the novel.

That's what everyone says. I have the book lying on the floor; however, I haven't read it yet. I'm trying to hold of on the movie until I read the book. No telling how long it'll take me to read it's 450+ pages, unless it snatches my attention.

The issue was that the novel is BLASHPHEMY!

Seriously, its preposterous to think that Christ had a child with Mary, they get married blah blah blah. The interpretation of the verses from the Bible are taken too literally, and basically the guy writing the code assumes Christ had a baby with Mary.

Anyway, it's really stupid, and yeah, it shouldn't bother people in my opinion, but the main reason for the uproar I think is that most people are stupid, and will believe almost anything you tell them.

Telling them that Christ was married and had a kid and having no one else to say otherwise will cause some people to believe it (as preposterous and stupid as it sounds).

I seem to have taken a liking to the word stupid in my previous post.

I'll let this slide, but the second it turns religious, game over man.

I personally haven't seen the movie, but I read the book quite some time ago, I really dug it. I have heard however, that the movie is EXACTLY like the book. To the point that it follows it too closely and the movie just drags and becomes boring. I'll save it for a downloa....rental.
