You didn't have lines last night? My friend had that same mentality when we got there at 645 and he thought we'd be catching the 745. Both 745 were sold out, both 830 were sold out, both 930 were sold out, we grabbed a couple of the last 1130, which all three 1130 showings sold out shortly after, and all 4 1210 showings sold out soon after that. I also ended up standing in line for just under 2.5 hours...

But god it was so worth it.

Ditto on the disappearing pencil. Joker is clever. And crazy.

But more importantly, he's crazy clever.

There were lines for separate shows but my showtime didn't seem to have a line. That and my friend already bought tickets so we didn't have to wait in a longass line just to get them. We just walked right in and got seated right away about 45 minutes before it started.

Seen it last night and honestly, the scenes with the joker absolutely made the movie. Best villian EVER. The role and character he took was done SO WELL. I loved it.

Best movie of the year is going to be subjective depending on what kind of movie you like. However it's inarguable that DK's the most successful movie this year. It destroyed the box office records for opening weekend. Little wonder because it truly was that good. I sincerely hope Ledger's post-humously awarded an Oscar for his performance, no one will ever do Joker that well again.

This was wierd. As I was walking past the room where they were showing The Dark Knight in my theater, there was a note posted outside by the staff saying (not exact, but close enough):

"There are NO extra scenes at the end of The Dark Knight's credits"

I found that kinda wierd. Any reason why they might've had that?

Possibly because there was no Ledger memorial scene. Not sure why they didn't put one up for loving memory or anything..

Probably so people don't sit there in the theater so they can clean up and get the next group in there as quick as possible.

I was a bit disappointed there was nothing at the end, though it might have killed the feel that the movie had set.

oh my GOD this movie was awesome. The only thing I think sucks about it is the fact that I'll never see Heath Ledger play Joker again, or anyone nearly as good. He owned Jack Nicholson's portrayal of Joker hard.
