Default Deal or No Deal?

Its basically the only show that i know that you yell at the TV saying numbers. I like the show. I have a couple of episodes on Tivo. Also me and my friends bet a few dollars to see who got the highest amount in the breifcase.

So do you like the show?

I like the show in the sense that a total moron could win it. I'm not trying to be sarcastic; I think that is a great concept. Sure, they drag it out with too many commercial breaks. Sure, it's hard to feel sorry for someone who blows it when everyone else knows they should have stopped. In the end, it's still entertaining. Plus, some of those girls are pretty hot.

It would be more fun to watch if they had to pay a price for each briefcase. I want to see game shows where people leave broke and in debt.

So I’m going to have to say No deal

Okay, if you go on, make sure for every highest amount you eliminate, you chop off your fingers.

Great, I think I know what's next in terms of gameshow.

Heads or Tails, where they have to call the coin toss right to win fabulous prizes.

That seem to be alot a game shows nowadays:

-Greed
-Slingo

Losing mean you win nothing. Not even a second prize or a "thanks for coming" prize like on The Price is Right.

To me, watching games shows is the same as watching poker, except poker to me seem fun to watch.

in poker, you get to see people duke it out in a no-hold-barred battle of wits and guile, trying to make people think what they want them to think. though you don't see a whole lot of that when you watch amateur players play...

the only thing that comes close in enjoyability in game shows is watching people on family feud say something completly stupid, then the silence as the other family members take a moment to reflect on said stupidity...then slowly start to clap and say "good answer" so as to not embarass them on television and in front of the live studio audience. i would love to see, just once, someone say something totally moronic, and hear someone in their family go "you fucking idiot, what was going through you head?"

I agree with you on that. I have to laugh whenever someone gives a stupid answer.

And to the OP poster, the show is OK, but doesn't require much in thinking. You just have to get lucky and hope you choose cases with low amounts in order to get a good deal.

I caught this show in Spanish last night. I think they only went up to $250,000 but it was still the same show. And I think the girls with the cases were all jumbled up (in the US show, they stand in order but in this one they were all over the place).

They need a progressive jackpot on this show. Everytime someone knocks out the $1 million, they add $10,000 to it or something. Keep some interest going in the guessing game.

This show is pretty decent, and I have to say that the bald look suits Howie Mandell fine, and he's nowhere near as annoying as he used to be.

On a somewhat related note, anyone catch "1 vs 100"?
