Death Note anime..

Okay, for a few months now I've heard of a Death Note anime coming out. I know there are of course live action movies, but now I hear they're IN the process of making the anime..Can someone tell me-True or false?

Looking forward to it, nevertheless... I'm wondering whether it'll be boring though, it's mostly dialogue, after all.

Their coloring is just amazing...When I watched Loveless my eyes went dry because I stared at the beautiful artwork for too long..

The first episode of death note was amazing like when that guy got hit by a truck but for some reason it looked better in the manga.

Every season (currently in Fall 2006 in JP) there are at least 20 new anime series premiering. You don't hear from a lot of them because most are pretty shit or just not as attention-grabbing as you would like.

That said, Death Note anime is out - episode 4 comes out next week - and is a pretty decent port from the manga. They've changed a few things here and there but otherwise, so far, Madhouse have kept with the original dialogue.

As for animation, it's pretty decent. At least GONZO didn't screw it up like they've done for so many series.

Top releases so far are from:
C1-Anime
Toriyama-World (these guys did the manga before that became licensed)
Live-eviL

Everyone goes for L-E because they are sheep and because L-E did Initial-D (honestly, who cares).
Toriyama is popular because they scanlated the manga.
C1-Anime is popular because they're just damn good at what they do. They haven't touched Death Note before and weren't initially too popular. But they've gained a lot of fans from Death Note.

Take a guess which one I like =]

(...I'm heavily biased since I subtitle for C1-Anime =] )
