 The Decemberists - The Crane Wife
So I just picked this up today. Not exactly a huge Decemberists fan, I enjoyed Castaways and Cutouts but wasn't amazed by it. But after a few songs I couldn't believe how great this album is. The range of instrumentation on some songs (Hello, "The Island") and the great storytelling ("O Valencia!") was unbelievable.
In conclusion: Great album, or greatest album?
