Default Fall TV lineup

It is that time of the year again. All the new tv shows are starting to air and the new seasons of older shows are also starting. I myself am pretty excited for Studio 60 on the Sunset strip to start up soon. It going to be great to see Aaron Sorkin's first return to Network TV since he left the west wing early on. I am also excited for the new season of How I Met Your Mother to start. NPH is the man on the show and I can't wait for him to start updating his blog again. What new and returning show is everyone else excited about coming up?

Heroes looks intriguing. I'd change the title; it souns like some corny 9/11 tribute show. Superpowered regular folks aren't always gonna be regarded as heroes, IMO. But it'd be cool to see their powers and development. Hmm, maybe it should've been called Powers.

Jeph Loeb writes it, and he's a major comic book author. Hope it translates well onto the screen.

I like Jeph Loeb works. Two of my favorite comics are Batman: The Long Holloween and Superman for all season. I think he also did some work on Smallville. If he is writing the series, it should be something to look foward to.

now that the embarassment of Who Wants to Be A Superhero is over, maybe this show will re-affirm my love of the super powered...

Thats about it. New Family Guy and Simpsons. Nip Tuck. yeah.

Oh, I forget 2 more show that are going to have to be much watches. This month we see the start of Season 4 of The Wire on HBO. If you havn't seen or heard of this show, then you are missing out on one of the greatest project ever to be undertanked for a TV show. I wouned even call it a tv show, it is more of a Visual Novel. The writing and chracters in the show are so well researched and potrayed you will be hating having to wait each week for the next episode to come out. I think it will be one of though shows, that even though it is under aprecated right now in it time, in 5 to 10 years from now, it will be used as an example in socialogy classes of the struggles between classes in a city just trying to stay alive in this day and age.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wire_%28TV_series%29

The Second show this fall season that will be a much watch, is the Third season of Battlestar Galacitica which will start in October on the Sci Fi channel. After the cliffhange of the second season, it should be intersting to see where they are going to go with the show now, seeing how they have almost turn the whole premises of the show on it head.

Right now I'm looking the most forward to nip/tuck, new ATHF episodes, and new It's Always Sunny In Philadeplhia. It took me a while to realize it, but FX has some pretty amazing shows on the air, I've just started watching Rescue Me recently as well, and wow. nip/tuck is by far my favorite though.

I'm irritated that Rescue Me and 30 Days (ie, the only shows I really watch) are ending just as the fall arrives.

Granted, the major networks have a few shows I intend to give a shot this season. Maybe that will change.

i'm glad they did the three episode marathon on saturday. it got me caught up to speed, even if i did have to mute if every commercial break cause they would play the same damn commercials.

i would've caused that bigot redneck father of the bigot redneck teen cunt a lot more pain before shooting his ass. thoughts that come to mind? making him watch his daughter engage in interracial group sex, or cutting off HIS baby maker, or buried alive is a good one too.

the serial rapist/plastic surgery plot didn't grab me as much as the son/tranny bit.

is this thread only about new shows for the fall lineup, or just ones that we are interested in watching? must be just interesting shows, cuz i've heard of house, but i've never seen it. the shows i am waiting for are desperate housewives, lost, battlestar galactica.

i get my eps from the net, so there's no excuse for my very limited viewing taste, other than lack of exposure. what do you guys recommend??

If you are looking for great show to watch. You should try The Wire, which started it 4th season this weekend. But if you are going to try it, you defently need to start at the begening with season 1. But the payoff of watching every episode is well worth it.

Two other shows I would recomend that you might want to try would be The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Both are writen by Aaron Sorkin, who also wrote such other works as The American President and A Few Good Men. The West Wing ended this year with Seven seasons, so there is plenety of ep to watch. Studio 60 starts on the 18th, even though a DVD screener of the first ep has been out for about a month now. So far all the buzz about the show has been very positive and it have been voted by critics as the best new show of the fall season.

There is just a few shows you should try. If you need more just ask away.
