My friend was in japan and had an option to see there last concert, but passed not know that it was going to be there last. He is still kicking himself for that.
Another group that is high up there for me would have to be RIP SLYME. They were the group that did the opening to GANTZ. They sort of have a very unique Hip Hop sound to them, and they always have unique PV that are alot better then what mostly comes out of Japan.
I think my third favorte j-group would have to be Larc~en~ciel. With some of my favorite songs of there being Driver's High and Heaven's High.
Other artist and groups that I like enclude:
Asian Kung Fu Generation
Beat Crusaders
Utada Hikaru
SEMO
that is all that I can think of right now off the top of my head | |

Rip Slyme isn't one I've come across too often, good taste obscures.. Gantz is one of the better new animes.. another to recommend is Elfen Lied (Kumica Noma or Chieko Kawabe).. but I doubt any anime buff has missed that one.. I find it surprising to see bands such as 'The Pillows' (FLCL) and 'Larc~en~ciel' (DNA, FF, FMA, GTO, RK, etc.(live action- Last Quarter, Moon Child, etc.)) but not 'Gackt' (Gundam, Fist of North Star, Texhnolyze, etc.(live action- Moon Child, Bujingai, etc.)) or 'Crystal Kay' (Fullmetal Alchemist, tch.)... Lately, I've been listening to mostly M-flo and Hyde as far as male jpop goes..
'Shiina Ringo' (listen to Shuukyo first?) and 'Kokia' as far as the women go.
'Shiina Ringo' will always be one of my favourites.. Well, you know what they say about the road to Hell, don't you?
