lol 2009? wow time just keeps moving, I keep slacking on reading welcome to the nhk, because I don't have time nor money to buy manga and I don't want to be those people who go to barnes and nobles and sit there reading the manga for free, unless you know there are girls there

I got Yen+ yesterday (it's like 1:23 AM EST) & finished reading the mangas. Once I read the OELs & manhwa, I'll give my review.

While you wait, I found an interesting question on Japanator; is there shame in reading manga in public? & how do you feel about it?

Except they dub most everything distributed by Viz, many of Geneon's lesser shows (i.e. Doki Doki School Hours), the first 53 episodes of the Dragonball Z dub, the Escaflowne TV series AND movie, all the Gundam shows in America thus far (AFAIK), CardCaptors, and even non-anime series like Ed, Edd and Eddy. And they used the same dozen or so actors/actresses over and over again, it seems like. Maverick Hunter X's is good... if you ignore X's lines, of course.

But once again, my opinion isn't a nice reference. I'm biassed against a lot of english dubs, most of them sound the same to me in terms of acting (too bland for my personal taste) :/

Did they do Mega Man X4-X6? X4 was alright, but X & Zero both sounded younger then they looked.

No, the actors in X4 and X5 were totally different to what we can hear in X7, X8, Command Mission and MHX. X6 had the original japanese voice acting :P

Oh, then I know them (played X7, X8, & Command Mission). They did a good job. Definitely better than X4 & X5.

I seriously need to watch the live-action Death Note movies soon. For some reason, I haven't felt like watching anime despite that fact I'm watching about 10 different series...

No freakin' way. I found out that Ikki Tousen: Shining Dragon for the PS2 is COMING TO THE US! It's made by the same people who did Harvest Moon & it's going to be a budget title. & I mean BUDGET, as it's going to be $15.

Oh, & another season of Fullmetal Alchamist confirmed.

Sorry for double post, but Adult Swim is airing a new anime at 1:30 AM. It's called Moribito: Guardian of the Spirits. Never heard of it, but I'll check it out.

Next monday, they're going to air Street Fighter Alpha (because when I think SF, I think SPACE & ROBOTS!!).

What was strange was my Dish Network said that it started at 11:05 & ended at 1:05....Which made me miss 50% of the parts before the OP.

Strangely though, in my country, the TV series was aired first (Animax Asia).

Granted, because it was only one of a handful of shows that had english dubs from America (rest are crappier ones from Singapore and whatnot), it instantly gained popularity on its first run..........and to date, it has been re-runned in my country (and the rest of Asia) for around six times now.

Special mention also to Carrie Savage (imho the best voice throughout the entire anime program).

Indeed ROD THE TV (Read or Dream) was an awesome show.

Interestingly, I also watched ROD OVA and I found that there were no British accents applied for here.

Took a while for me to adjust to the non-accented voices :P

Damn, I almost forgot, I need to buy that Robotech Shadow Chronicles movie. I loved the comics that narrated the prelude of the movie.
