Ever since One Piece, the only way I can get my fix of anime is if I buy it on DVD, and even that's hard to go by if you're a young teenager who relies on allowance. I'm still getting my hopes up to afford the entire Pani Poni Dash! series, the 1st volume of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Sgt. Frog (if ever should it be released by ADV Films), and whatever else I can find in the 2 Newtype magazines that I own.

I didn't see Sakura shoving down Nakayoshi manga character references down my throat while watching Cardcaptor Sakura, or Son Goku stopping to tell me how great a manga the currently running Hell Teacher Nube and Rurouni Kenshin were in Shonen Jump. What a dull, derivative thing to do. I'm going to go watch this episode and cry now.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Well, I finally saw the episode, and now I understand what you were saying earlier: the fact that the anime writers have to rely on one of Kyoto Animation's previous projects to attract viewer attention. God forbid Lucky Star could stand on its two feet with jokes that don't pertain to Haruhi Suzumiya or other Kyoto Animation shows.

Been enjoying the show since chapter 1 (yes, including that long conversation about food and stuff) so it doesn't affect me at all.
Oh, also:
-Waiting for Saint Seiya Hades: Inferno to arrive here next month. First 3 chapters of Inferno will be released on DVD here, and I already have the first 5 volumes of Sanctuary
-Downloading Hokuto no Ken :3
-Watching KILLER LOLIS Kai. LOL @ 1st chapter.

I'd also find it funnier if the second season of Haruhi wasn't going to air directly after the end of Lucky Star (which no one will remember five years from now). I got tired of Hare Hare Yukai the first ten times I heard it, thank you very much. You can only pander to an audience so many times before you get sick of it. The single funny Haruhi bit in episode 16 to me was Konata switching back and forth between her normal voice and Haruhi's. That's it. I didn't even so much as smirk at anything else.
Imagine if the cast of Di Gi Charat appeared for 15 to 35 seconds in speaking roles in each and every episode of Galaxy Angel. That would be quite annoying, wouldn't it? That's how I feel about Haruhi in Lucky Star.

So it just comes down to different types of people.
A: People who hate Haruhi/Lucky Star/Kyoto Animation in some way/shape or form
B: People who enjoy to enjoy it.
So go on and enjoy your hate trip guys. I'm laughing my ass off every episode, I guess I can't say the same for you.

You realize that the jokes are worn out, the plot in the end doesn't make much sense and the fanbase is one of the worst around. Don't believe me? Go to a major anime convention and tell me otherwise.
The only somewhat cute girls doing the Hare Hare Yukai dance were the ones at Bandai Visual's booth. Everyone else was a male member of the ASOS Brigade and maybe only a handful of people cosplayed as Haruhi which seems unnatural. Also after having a debate with a few of their members they seem to be arrogant, larding, haruhi worshipping fanboys that like most of their kind, don't rely on logic for their arguements most of the time.
They worship the main character like a god for crying out loud. Who still does that. The anime is okay at best and doesn't deserve the attention it's getting in the US. Bandai Visual knows their cashcow so I doubt this will end anytime soon.
I know most of you here aren't these "people" but you have to realize this is threatening to destroy our generation of Otakudom faster than that "ninja" anime.
As far as Lucky Star is concerned I just never liked Moe anime in general. There might be one or two exceptions depending on what is defined as "moe".

First off it is Bandai Entertainment, not Bandai Visual. BV is Freedom OVA, Gunbuster and Galaxy Angel Rune, all overpriced.
Second of all, who gives a flying fuck? Destroying our "Otakudom"? Define the word Otakudom. That whole term just makes you sound all arrogant about yourself and whoever else supports your idea. If you are really that sensitive to crappy dancing and arrogant motherfuckers, I suggest you stay away from the internet and any conventions at all since they are just packed full of them types of people.
