No, of course not. I would expect around $40-ish to $50 for 20-ish episodes of something (isn't that how much normal seasons of TV shows go for?), not $30-$40 for 2 episodes (I'm looking at you, FLCL. $15 an episode, my ass) or only 4 or 5 episodes.....unless it's a special edition.

& how come there's hardly ever any special features aside from clean OPs & EDs, previews, trailers, & perhaps some pics? I wish more anime DVDs had commentary (I know Najica Blitz Tactics (including panties w/ the Limited Box = awesome) & some Evangelion movies did).

FLCL had director's commentary.

They should include special features that have the voice actors do stupid things in front of a hidden camera or something. They should be only tangentially related to the show at best else I don't even give them any consideration.

I hardly watch anime on DVDs. Either TV or downloads for me. Usually anything I watch is already online, isn't released here, or not in a rental store in my town (don't have Netflix, but I had a free trial for Blockbuster which was nice. FINALLY got to see Arcade Gamer Fubuki since I could never find it online (though NOW I can)).

Downloading Dead Leaves since it was on Anime News Network's Shelf Life.

Oh, & Sci-Fi is showing Gundam (season 1) at 11 PM & Macross Plus at Midnight (at part 3 of 4).

Japanator round 15 is at 366 comments.

I didn't like the "outtakes" for Gokusen that much =/

No bootlegs of entire series (or 26 episodes) sell for 45USD

Latest content? Mind filling me in?

I still remember reading the announcement (when it was 1st announced) that Seven Seas decided to not bring this over. They said one of the suggested titles was "Hot For Teacher".

I saw a very final-looking cover title called Nymphet.

"Arousal" being the key term here because there's two very explicit pages of the protagonist Rin Kokonoe masturbating with a showerhead.

And if nobody's gotten the joke, she's nine years old. Or she's at least old enough for fourth grade.

Seven Seas blog explaining the whole thing

Yeah, this would've been the cover for the 1st volume:

Now I need to find the chapters/pages that Reenee/Seven Seas was talking about.

The pages I'm referring to are not in the early pages. It's in the latest volume or whatever of the manga.

Oh God no. I'd rather jump into a pool of pee and bull crap than think those kinds of thoughts.

The manga's actually TAMER than the anime (at least the early chapters) and a lot less stupid. Plus it doesn't have that obnoxious ending theme.

Didn't know about the shower head. Eww.

If you can, watch the live action series. Good stuff.

I prefered the manga than the anime. It was still good, but got toned down, not to mention you can tell it's old & didn't do some of the best parts of the manga.

starfox444: I know both Eva movies (End of Evangelion & Evangelion: Death & Rebirth) had commentary. It's actually quite interesting.
