Excel-2009: I'm going to go with both, but more with the telling (it's the voice actors & the subber/translator(s?)). The most interesting part is during the ending of End of Evangelion.

I generally heard it was better written and the subject in question was carried out with some grace, whereas it's thrown around as if it's a baby in the hands of their drunken father in the anime, which is where 80% of my hatred for the series stems from.

so i finished burst angel, it was fairly interesting the random commentary was p. funny in general too.

starfox444: I know both Eva movies (End of Evangelion & Evangelion: Death & Rebirth) had commentary. It's actually quite interesting.

Oh the commentary, yeah I've watched all that. I thought you meant something else super amazing. I like the Asuka collection that was in the platinum box set.

Well, off to read some Yotsuba. I love the first chapter with Jumbo saying "We can't trust daddy now can we?"

I remember attending a panel featuring Funimation's most prominent voice actors a few years ago. They were all making fun of Burst Angel but at the time I didn't get why. In retrospect I guess they didn't enjoy it much themselves.

i dont think they really watched it, since the VAs at times didnt know what going on and just poked fun at the episode and the scenes.

How is it, despite of its awful reception? I'm still having second thoughts whether to watch that or not.

The only bad thing I've heard about it is the dropping art quality. Otherwise, I haven't heard much else about this series.

Watched 2 episodes of Ghost Hunt yesterday (even though I should download ep. 1-12 so I'll actually know what's going on) & it's ok (I can't judge it completely until I see the entire series). The main dude is BORING (dull voice, almost no personality), some Japanese names are mispronounced in the dub (compared to the sub) & while the humor is good, they sometimes do it when it's trying to be suspicious, which kind of ruins the moment (it's like someone telling a ghost story & someone else trying to make funny comments while he's telling it). Higurashi (man, I need to continue watching the 2nd season) did it better, as they'd get the humor & light-hearted stuff done in the 1st episodes of whatever chapter it's on & then slowly descend into creepy-ness & suspense.

i laugh out loud when i watch it, i find it funny, it has a lot of perverted humour which i dig and umm, idk the quality seems ok to me

Sounds interesting. Once I finish ToraDora & Kemeko, I might watch it.

Then again, I need to continue School Rumble 2nd Term, Higurashi Kai, & Soul Eater. & Ouran Host Club (hmm, I'm 1/2 way, perhaps I'll finish that 1st).

over the past few episodes toradora has turned into a full on drama.

I like it still, its just not the same show i was watching 10 episodes ago.
