Wow, even the director of the 1st season of Haruhi (he left to form his own studio & directed Kannagi) didn't like Endless Eight. He said the Endless Eight concept came up while he was still working w/ KyoAni & he was against the idea & "two episodes was the most [they] can do." Clearly, they didn't listen to him.

They're going to make a Halo anime.

A HALO. ANIME.

Called Halo Legends, it will be animated by 5 different studios. Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio 4C, & Toei Animation.

Still, guess it's better to wait for the final product itself but nevertheless, for the sake of it, I hope it doesn't suck (though with likes of Bones and Production I.G. and Toei on-board, then this thing may be interesting).

I guess we'll have to wait-and-see then.

So it's basically like Animatrix but with Halo. I actually wouldn't mind watching it even though I'm not a Halo fan at all.
