Yeah, what's kinda painful is when it's an English dub that's not from North America. So yup, the Singaporean dubs (and all these other 'Asian' English dubs come into mind).
The most noticeable was the Red Garden that was shown on Animax Asia.....which used not VAs from FUNIMATION but........voice actors from the Philippines speaking in English. Sounded really bad and shallow.......
Btw, I'm not trying to bring my own countrymen down (no I'm not). It's just that........well you get the drift.
Oh well, at least their Tears To Tiara dub was not too bad (though sometimes I get slightly irritated whenever they pronounce 'Arawn' as "arawyn" :facepalm

.
With that said, I don't mind if they do dubbing for Mandarin or Cantonese dubs. It's just that I too am not that much keen on Asian English dubs. I've only liked a few personally (like their rendition of Hayate Combat Butler or Darker Than Black and whatnot).......but other than that, yup, I'm not to keen.
When it comes to English dubs, I still personally believe that it's best to leave that job to the North Americans (i.e. VAs from USA and/or Canada)
Two cents
P.S.
