Default Hancock

I kinda liked it and I thought that it was a good film that was somewhat worth my time (as it had an original concept).

Though I do admit that there are those who found the surprise twist involving Charlize Theron to be a distractor. (while some clamored that it shouldn't have been placed at all).

What do you guys think?

Bah I was waiting for a Hancock thread! I saw it a day before it came out when I was in San Francisco and I had already made a thread for The Love Guru and Wanted so I figured someone else should make this thread.

Anyway I thought the movie was really funny. :b Not really the best movie but it was a good time-crusher and worth it if you have the extra money to blow.

The first half of the movie before it was found that Theron's character was also like Hancock was amazing, the end was a letdown.

(EDIT) Oh yeah thanks, The Chemist, for reporting the other thread. :b

It was quite good.

And I hope to see it again when it comes out on Blu-ray (this time with BD profile 1.1 features)

I checked it out last weekend with my brother. Overall it was pretty good and it was funny in some scenes. And I do agree with you Blackraven. It did have an original concept that seemed to work pretty well for the movie.

Good point.

My friends though made a joke mocking the French kid there.

John Hancock: Say "asshole" to me one more time....
French kid: Asholl

*BOOM*

I thought it was great for the first half, while he was just a dunk homeless guy with superpowers. Then they had to go and give him a backstory.

Well yeah.

Your view is in line with what many critics from rottentomatoes were saying in that the logic in the story disappeared in the second half.

Which is a good point.

Heh, nevertheless, I'm still planning to get this on Blu-ray DVD later this year.

Give me LPCM 7.1 soundtrack and MPEG-4 codec and I'll be happy
